Action = varied work

As assistant store manager you and your team ensure the store looks neat and tidy. You set a good example on the work floor but are also busy behind the scenes with scheduling colleagues, assessing applicants and customer service. As the store manager's right hand, you support them in every way possible, and during their absence, you take on the ultimate responsibility for the store.

Develop with us

Action is one of Europe's fastest growing non-food discounters. Nice for us, but also for you! As we are continually opening new stores, we are always looking for new store managers. And who's a better candidate than someone who's already proven themselves as assistant store manager...?
To stimulate your development, you can also follow all sorts of training at our own Action Academy. For example, in conversation techniques, assessment interviews and planning & organising. This way you'll grow just as fast as we do.

This is what Mark has to say about his job:

“It's great that in this role you get to learn to lead under the wings of the store manager. And, of course, the Academy helps with that too. Before this, I spent two years working in a clothes store, but that was always the same. Every workday here is different and you learn a lot more. I hope that in a few years, I'll be the store manager of my own store!”
